You know how camps in movies and on TV have color wars? We did to. The camp was split in half and red was against blue until we were allowed to go home. This was a time of forced cheering and color corresponding cloathes. I remember that this was supposed to be a time of great fun, but it was really quite horrifying. The induction into the color war was the ceremonial game of Tug-Of-War. If you think about it this is actually kind of funny, cause tug of war has to be the only game in which the fat kid is picked first. So anyway, imagine the best team line up ever, but on both sides. They threw in a little twister by putting in a pit of cold, watery mud in the middle. And when the first kid went in, all fat camp hell broke lose. |
